The Korea Business Center (also known as KOTRA) is a statutory agency within the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) division of the Korean government. It is a non-profit agency with the primary focus to promote bilateral business relationships between Korea and foreign countries. We are represented in more than 93 locations throughout 68 countries across the globe.

Our KOTRA-Silicon Valley branch was established in July of 1967. Based in San Mateo, CA, our business affiliates are commonly found in the Northern California region as well as neighboring states such as Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana.

With Silicon Valley as a major influence, our focus leans towards Information Technology, Bio Technology, Culture and Entertainment as well as other high tech industry.
